Supporting research
Paving the way for a better future
PMDD remains critically under-researched, particularly in the UK, leading to significant gaps in understanding, diagnosis, and treatment. At The PMDD Project, we’re committed to changing this by actively supporting research initiatives that aim to close these gaps and improve outcomes for those affected.
We work with leading institutions and researchers – including King’s College London, UCL, Lancaster University, and others – to help push PMDD research forward. We’ve also funded the public release of key articles, making them freely available to everyone.
If you’d like to learn more about the research projects we support or are interested in collaborating with us, please get in touch. We’re always open to new ideas, partnerships, and opportunities to help push PMDD research forward.
Collaborating with Universities, PhD Students, and Researchers
We collaborate with leading researchers and institutions - including KCL, UCL, and Lancaster University - to help drive meaningful progress in PMDD. These partnerships are essential for building the evidence needed to improve care and support for everyone living with PMDD.
Addressing Gaps in Healthcare Knowledge
The lack of comprehensive research on PMDD has left healthcare professionals under-equipped to recognise and manage the condition effectively. We’re dedicated to supporting studies that address these knowledge gaps, ensuring that medical practitioners have access to the latest information and tools needed to provide appropriate care. By doing so, we aim to reduce misdiagnoses and improve treatment pathways for patients.
