raising awareness
at the pmdd project, we believe that everyone should know what pmdd is and that no one should struggle in silence
At The PMDD Project, we are committed to making PMDD a familiar term, so that those affected can find their voices, access resources, and, above all, feel seen. We’re driving this change until the day comes when no one has to ask, “What is PMDD?”
Our raising awareness focuses on three core areas
educating the public on menstrual health & pmdd
We’re breaking the silence around menstrual health by delivering accessible, evidence-based education on PMDD and related menstrual health conditions. Through workshops for healthcare professionals, universities, schools, and community groups, we’re challenging stigma and bridging dangerous gaps in knowledge. Healthcare professionals need to know how to recognise the symptoms of PMDD and support their patients effectively – lives literally depend on it. And the earlier we educate young people, the better: understanding their cycles from a young age can empower them to seek help sooner, with less shame and confusion. If you’re a healthcare professional, lecturer, or teacher, get in touch to book a workshop.
driving change in the workplace
We’re not just raising awareness, we’re creating real, lasting change. Through our PMDD training workshops, we help employers understand PMDD, support affected employees, and take meaningful steps towards a healthier, more compassionate workplace. advocating for Policy Change in Healthcare, the Workplace, and Government
Beyond raising awareness, we are committed to driving lasting change. The PMDD Project will work tirelessly to create, implement, and advocate for policies within the healthcare system, workplaces, and government to ensure that PMDD is recognised as a priority. Through policy change, we aim to establish frameworks that support education, provide resources, and ensure that people with PMDD have access to the care and understanding they deserve.
