Healthcare Engagement

Healthcare Education

We deliver bespoke education and training sessions for a wide range of healthcare professionals, helping increase confidence in recognising, assessing and managing PMDD.

No two organisations are the same. We work closely with partners to ensure content is relevant, practical and aligned with the needs of attendees. Sessions can range from introductory awareness workshops through to more in-depth educational presentations and panel discussions.

Clinical Resources

Developed and reviewed by our Clinical Advisory Board, our practical, accessible resources are designed to support healthcare professionals in clinical practice.

Our resources aim to translate current evidence into clear, usable guidance while reflecting the real experiences of people living with PMDD.

People affected by PMDD continue to face delays in diagnosis, inconsistent care and limited awareness across healthcare settings.

We work alongside healthcare professionals to improve the recognition, diagnosis and management of PMDD through education, collaboration, advocacy and evidence-informed resources, combining the latest clinical evidence with the lived experience of people affected by PMDD.

This work is delivered through The PMDD Practice, a division of The PMDD Project focused on healthcare and professional engagement.

Whether you’re an individual clinician, NHS Trust, university, professional body or healthcare organisation, we’re here to help improve understanding of PMDD and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

“Our session was so insightful, covering everything perfectly and was relevant to our work. The resources are amazing and Phoebe was very knowledgeable" - City and Hackney NHS Talking Therapies

Healthcare Partnerships

We believe lasting change happens through collaboration.

We work closely with NHS organisations, universities, professional bodies, charities and healthcare leaders to improve education and patient care. We’re always keen to explore new opportunities to work together.

Our approach:

Our Impact at a glance:

"The PMDD Project provided a clear overview of the neurobiological underpinnings of PMDD alongside practical, evidence-based treatment approaches, including the application of therapies such as DBT for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Key takeaways included: the importance of symptom tracking across the menstrual cycle; the value of validation and holistic, person-centred care; and the need to routinely ask about menstrual cycle-related changes, which are often overlooked. The training significantly increased clinicians’ confidence in discussing PMDD and their likelihood of asking about menstrual health. It also deepened our understanding of its under-recognition in clinical settings and its links with conditions such as OCD, anxiety, and neurodiversity, reinforcing the need for more informed and integrated care. Thank you to Phoebe and The PMDD Project for delivering such a valuable and much-needed session." - Anxiety Disorders Residential Unit, Bethlam Royal Hospital
